Anna Bosch Miralpeix was born on 18 August 1982 in Sant Esteve de Palautordera, where she currently lives. From 2002 to 2006 she studied photography at the IEFC in Barcelona and she furthered her studies at the ICP in New York with the support of a grant.

She completed an Arts degree at the UOC in 2023 and a Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design at EINA in 2024. She is a founding member of Ruido Photo (2004), Ruido School (2008) and CFD Barcelona/FUGA (2012) where she carried out different tasks of management, teaching, curating exhibitions and projects until 2018. 

In 2016 he received the Fotopres grant for her project Bubble Beirut, which she exhibited during 2017 at CaixaForum Barcelona and Madrid, and with which she participated at Les Rencontres in Arles, in the CNA Portfolio Review in Luxembourg and in The New York Times Portfolio Review in New York. Her photographs have been published in different media such as The New York Times, 6 Mois Magazine, País Semanal, Ara Diumenge and in 2017 she published her first book Bubble Beirut. 

In 2021 she participated in the Underline Program with an installation in Beirut and in 2022 in the Faberllull Andorra residency. In 2022 she published The Waiting Place, a book by the writer Dina Nayeri illustrated with Anna’s photographs, and in the same year it received the Boston Globe-Horn Book of Honour. 

"Rather than seeking the immediate impact of a detail, I prefer to work with the addition of organic images that, together, reveal the complexity of factors at play, appealing to both consciousness and unconsciouness of the viewer".  

I attended the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya  (2002-2006) and extended my studies with a workshop at the ICP Barcelona (2008). Anna Bosch Miralpeix

I have worked as a teacher and have led participatory photography and curatorial projects. My work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, and has been published in national and international media. 

My last project Bubble Beirut was selected for the 20th edition of Beca Fotopres a prestigious grant given for La Fundació La Caixa.
